
Sadoski's award-winning stage career began as an understudy for Mark Ruffalo, Mark Rosenthal and Mark Rosenthal in an Off-Broadway production of Kenneth Linergan's This is Our Youth at Second Stage Theatre. It was the first of many productions by the New York-based theatre company. He has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway and Broadway productions, as as in productions in regional theatres. Along with Alison Pill, he played the role Greg in Neil LaBute's 2008 play Reasons to be Beautiful at MCC Theatre. After receiving praise for its critically acclaimed sell-out Off-Broadway performance and then a transfer to Broadway in April 2009 , where it earned three Tony Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Actress: Marin Ireland, Best Play) in addition to three Drama Desk Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Director: Terry Kinney and Best Play) Two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best New Play),and three Drama League Award nominations (Best Play, Distinguished Performance Awards: Sadoski and Ireland). 6. Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the change in tone in Reasons to be Pretty, a departure in comparison to earlier works. He commented: "His thoughtfulness and good heart made it impossible to fall back upon anything that I've previously produced." My plays ended in a dark way. I've always believed that this was the case in real life. there was always a shade of gray. However, the actor helped me recognize different colors within the palette." He played the role in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For this role, he received an Obie Award as well as the Lucille Lortel Award. The play (which also, following a sold out Off-Broadway production, was transferred to Broadway in November of 2011) was named Outstanding New Off-Broadway Production by the Outer Critics Circle in 2011. Sadoski is also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller, Edie Falco, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alison Pill in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves
